CAUS - Communication Rights Australia OVERVIEW
1. Objectives
1.1 The objective of establishing CAUS - Communication Rights Australia was to take over the activities of the Communication Aid User Society involving in general the support of people who are subject to sever difficulties of communication in particular but not limited to the following objectives:-
1.2 To promote and maintain independence among people with sever communication or speech impairment,
1.3 To educate the public and increase community awareness and understanding through publicing the issues and problems associated with communication diffiuclties,
1.4 To assist people with severe communication or speech impairment to obtain communication assistance,
1.5 To act as an information exhange and referral service people with severe communication or speech impairment and for members of their families of such people,
1.6 To represent people with severe communication or speech impairment in circumstances where they may be disempowered,
1.7 To assist in the education, training and support of individuals and organisations concerned with issues affecting people with severe communication or speech impairment, and
1.8 To provided such other forms of benevolent assistance as the Company may from time to time determine for persons with severe communication impairment or difficulties.
