10th Biennial AGOSCI conference, Adelaide, May 11-14, 2011.

AGOSCI is a group representing people with Complex Communication Needs (CCN) (ie. little or no speech) as well as those who live, know or work with people with CCN. People with complex communication needs who use augmentative and alternative communication such as picture boards/books, PODDs, speech generating devices, signing, object symbols and gestures.

AGOSCI aims to lobby for the rights of people with CCN, increase public awareness of CCN and provide relevant educational/professional development events across Australia.

          The AGOSCI Biennial Conference will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from May 12-14th, 2011.
         The  conference theme – Taking it to the streets – is designed to encourage thought, innovation and 
  ctionthat will increase understanding and awareness both within and outside of the disability sector.
           The  conference will be of interest to individuals with little or no speech, family and community 
           members, teachers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and other professionals.
 
          Scholarships are available for people with CCN or their families.
Applications must be submitted by
February 7th, 2011.
